THE LUCET
An ancient cording tool
We believe that the lucet dates back to Viking times. Finds in York and Sweden would support this belief. Knitting on two prongs produces a firm square cord. The picture shows use of shaded ribbon. The general guide for yarns is the finer and smoother the yarn, the easier it is to work.
